Humburg or vienna steak


  • Get Onions finely choopped
  • Take Butter or oil
  • Prepare Lean minced beef
  • Take Small eeg
  • Get Bread crumbs
  • Get Cold water or milk


    step 1

    Cook the onion in the fat without colour then allow to cool

    step 2

    Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well

    step 3

    Divide into even pieces and using flour make into balls flatten and shape round

    step 4

    Shallow fry in hot fat on both sides reducing the heat after the first few mins making certain they are cooked right through

    step 5

    Serve with a light sauce in this case tomatoo sauces,The steak may be granished with french fried onions and sometimes fried eggs
