Piquant sauce

Ingredients

  • Add 2 chopped shallots
  • 1 chopped chilli
  • 2 1/2 centimeter chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp. tamarind paste
  • 2 tbsp. cold water
  • Chopped fresh basil
  • 200 g halved baby plum tomatoes

Preparations

    step 1

    In a pan, add the shallots, chilli and ginger.

    step 2

    Cook for 2-3 minutes until just golden.

    step 3

    Add the baby plum tomatoes, tamarind paste and cold water.

    step 4

    Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

    step 5

    Stir in a handful of chopped fresh basil before serving.
